Who doesn’t love Cape Town?
In an amazing achievement, Time Out magazine named Cape Town the world’s best city for 2025. This recognition is based on a global survey that considered food, nightlife, culture, affordability, happiness, and overall vibe.
Cape Town’s rise to the top spot is no surprise, given, as we know, its natural beauty, cool cultural scene, and the happiness of its locals. An impressive 97% of us reported that the city makes them happy, while 82% described it as beautiful.
The city offers a mix of great experiences, from the ever-impressive Table Mountain and beautiful beaches to its world-class food and wine scene and fun adventures for the whole family.
Cape Town’s recognition as the best city in the world is expected to boost tourism and economic growth. Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis shared the importance of this title in driving city development, creating jobs, and uplifting communities. He highlighted ongoing investments in infrastructure and support for small businesses as key factors in ensuring Cape Town’s continued success as a leading global destination.
The best city in the world right now. This title acknowledges Cape Town’s current appeal and sets the tone for its future.
My favourite activities include sundowners on the Camps Bay strip, swims at Saunders Rock Pool, V& A Waterfront shopping, Mouille Point Promenade walks, Signal Hill sunsets, Sea Point main road food and coffee vibes and Lions Head walks.
Let’s celebrate this moment and what makes this city special for us and our awesome visitors.
