1. Victoria & Alfred Waterfront

With Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean in sight, the V&A Waterfront is the number one shopping destination worth visiting. Also known as a historical and cultural benchmark, this shopping center boasts more than 450 stores featuring international and local designers, a diverse selection of eateries and food markets, plus handmade crafts and souvenirs at the Watershed Market. Stroll along the palm tree-lined cobblestone pathways while admiring the scenic beauty and shopping to your heart’s content.

2. Canal Walk Shopping Centre

This is the shopping centre closest to me and where I personally go shopping. My favourite gym is also in the same area.

Found in Century City, Canal Shopping Centre has more than 400 shops, including large international shops like Zara and H&M, lifestyle and furniture stores, boutiques, major retail chains, and plenty of entertainment at your disposal, there is something for everyone. Besides being a shopping paradise, Canal also boasts a large contemporary cinema complex, many fast-food eateries and restaurants, and a games arcade and ice-skating rink. With plenty of parking, a broad selection of stores, and convenient amenities, you are bound to have an enjoyable and entertaining family outing.

3. Cavendish Square

Located in Claremont, Cavendish Square is a more upmarket and elegant shopping destination with more than 250 stores, including beauty salons, homeware stores, specialty shops, and luxury fashion brands, with an interesting collection of designer labels. Whether you’re shopping for high fashion items, Cavendish Centre will be sure to have it. After shopping you can catch a bite to eat at one of the many cafes or restaurants before catching up on a movie at the cinema complex.

1. The Old Biscuit Mill Market

Formerly a derelict factory in Woodstock, it is now an energetic beehive of food vendors, artisanal creators, and designers selling their goods to locals and tourists every Saturday. While skimming the stalls, you will find anything from handmade jewelry to beautiful leather products and unique home decor pieces. The diverse studios and boutiques are treasure coves filled with exclusive treasures. While there, you can sample some South African delicacies like biltong, koeksisters, freshly baked pastries, and Cape Malay curry. Apart from shopping you can satisfy your cultural needs with live music performances, interactional workshops, and art exhibitions.

2. The Bay Harbour Market

The Bay Harbour Marketin Hout bay is a cool place to visit. It borders Cape Town’s picturesque coastline against the magnificent backdrop of Chapman’s Peak. The market is open every weekend and has a more bohemian, easy-going ambiance.
